Morning on Merit — Launching a Network to 80M Homes

Post Production Supervisor

Morning on Merit was a brand-new daily television program launching to 80 million homes. I stepped in during the build-out phase and helped shape the post-production foundation that the whole show relied on.

  • The show was launching on a tight timeline with no existing post-production structure. Editors needed systems, workflows, asset organization, and clear expectations. Everything had to be built from the ground up.

    • Supervised and trained a team of 5 editors

    • Built the asset management + file organization system

    • Created naming conventions and project templates

    • Established a daily workflow from ingest → edit → review → delivery

    • Worked directly with producers and upper management to align on messaging and visuals

  • I created a clear, repeatable production pipeline:

    1. Organized all incoming footage

    2. Assigned edits based on skills + turnaround times

    3. Reviewed cuts and provided feedback

    4. Ensured on-brand consistency across segments

    5. Worked cross-departmentally with editorial, communications, and operations

    • Reduced editing turnaround time by 35%

    • Improved accuracy and consistency of final deliverables

    • Ensured smooth launch of daily broadcasts to 80 million homes

    • Strengthened communication between editors, producers, and leadership

    • Built a scalable workflow that could be repeated across editing teams

    • On-brand and on-time broadcast packages

    • Entertaining lifestyle segments

    • Seamless editing workflow + asset management

    • Happy team of editors
